ANY revamp of the state's pool-fencing laws should carefully consider who was responsible for enforcement, the Local Government Association of Tasmania says.
Association chief executive Allan Garcia yesterday said plugging gaps in current pool fence rules should not simply dump the issue in the lap of local councils.
The Royal Life Saving Society Australia Tasmania branch has called for all pools to be fenced."
